Sonny Speaks

My reticent lil babbler said his first phrase the other day.
He said "Offo A(his name)" a la the old Promise ad. The verdict seems to be that these seem to be the 2 words I use most often with him! Its probably true - coz the only other word he says clearly is 'hi'.
And no, he doesnt say it on demand. So dada-dadi, nana-nani (paternal & maternal grand parents) who yearn to hear him speak on the phone - dont hear a peep out of him, but random strangers in the mall are told 'offo!'

So cute. The phone thing is true though- they rarely say into the phone- try the speaker phone? it works with Anush.
Anush has a 10-15 word vocab now but she keeps chanting "Hi" all the time to any one she likes who visits home- it is torture after a while for them- LOL

Art: We've tried the speaker phone too - doesnt work :( And yes, hi can be a major irritant at our place too.

Has-to-be-me: Welcome! Sonny is almost 18 months old - and though he's been babbling for a while now - these have been his first words.

Believe me, soon you will be complaining about the incessant banter and will even wish for a few minutes of quiet. I am there with 3 yr old A and I know it.....by the end of the day I am usually saying aaaarrrrrgggghhhh..will you be quiet already! :)
